Student will be challenged with more complex design challenges to further their understanding of Robotics through programing. Students will build on what they learned in the PLTW 1 course, starting with Robotics. Project Lead the Way 2 (successful completion of PLTW 1 required) Students use a VEX robotics platform to design, build, and program a solution to solve existing engineering problems. They learn about mechanical systems, energy transfer, machine automation and computer control systems. Students will be introduced to 3D printing they will design and print a key fob.Īutomation and Robotics: Students trace the history, development, and influence of automation and robotics. Students will create parts, assembles, drawings, and animations with Inventor. Students will be introduced to the profession CAD program AutoDesk Inventor and they will use it to help them model their design solutions. Design and Modeling: Students will learn the engineering process to solve a variety of engineering design challenges.
